Coastal Native Front & Side Yard Transformation — Gulfport, FL
CLIENT Gulfport, FL | Coastal native landscape on sandy soil
YEAR 2025
This front and side yard transformation in Gulfport, Florida focused on creating a resilient, low-water landscape suited to dry, sandy conditions. We selected a palette of drought-tolerant, sand-loving native species, including silver buttonwood, pineland heliotrope, bay cedar, and horizontal cocoplum.
Site preparation involved removing outdated pygmy date palms, suppressing persistent weeds, and working with a challenging, dry slope to establish a stable planting foundation.
One year later, the landscape has settled in beautifully—highlighted by a blanket of white pineland heliotrope blooms and native shrubs reaching strong establishment.
