Very unique silvery round foliage. Beach tea is known for its ability to withstand salt wind and salty conditions. However, it does not tolerate long-term flooding by salt or brackish water.
Salt Water Flooding Tolerance: Tolerant of occasional/brief inundation such as can occur in storm surges. Salt Spray/ Salty Soil Tolerance: Some tolerance to salty wind but not direct salt spray.
Known and named for it’s vibrant fucshia berries in the fall. This native shrub attracts birds and the leaves rubbed on the skin deter mosquitoes. Can be pruned into a small tree, but beautiful as well in its natural form as a large shrub.
Medium to small Liatris bloom with a very straight habit. Pollinator attractor! Winter dormant.
